COMPREHENSIVE EYE EXAM: Includes a complete neurological assessment, binocular testing, color testing and refraction. A complete external and internal exam is performed including glaucoma testing, screening for cataracts, macular degeneration and retinal disease. Highly technical state of the art diagnostic testing is available for those patients in need of special services.
EMERGENCY CARE: Our practice routinely treats medical emergencies including infections, foreign bodies, corneal abrasions, trauma and eye pain. We serve the emergency medical needs of our patients who unexpectedly experience an eye emergency on a walk-in basis, if an appointment is not possible.
GLASSES MADE WHILE YOU WAIT: Our on site finishing lab allows us to fill most single vision prescriptions while you wait. In most cases the glasses are ready by the end of the exam.
ELECTRONIC PRESCRIPTION: Our electronic health records allow for electronic transmission of your prescriptions to the pharmacy of your choice providing automatic verification of drug interactions, allergies and insurance formularies. Best of all...no waiting at the pharmacy for Rx pick up.
CONTACT LENS SPECIALISTS: Lenses for dry eye, daily disposable, astigmatism, bifocals, and 30 day extended wear. We can customize a lens to fit almost any patient.
DRY EYE TREATMENT: Do your eyes tear for no apparent reason? Dry eye syndrome has many causes such as aging, hormonal changes in women, environmental factors, medications, sjogren's syndrome and contact lens wear. We have a range of treatments available such as restasis and punctal occlusion.
COMPUTERS AND VISION: More than half of all computer users experience eyestrain, headaches, and other symptoms directly related to the sustained visual stress of computers. Most of these symptoms can be alleviated through a combination of correcting work station conditions, posture, stress relieving lenses and in some cases, through improving vision skills with vision training.
CHILDREN'S VISION: Many children have vision problems that remain undiagnosed, and may even be misdiagnosed as a learning disorder. The earlier a child's vision problems are detected, the more responsive the visual system will be to treatment.
