The city of Warwick welcomes Dr. William Freitas, Dr. Brian Kiley and the optometry practice of Atlantic Family Eye Care, once the home of now-retired optometrist, Dr. Albert Glucksman. Though new to this location, Drs. Freitas and Kiley are hardly new to the world of eye care. With their flagship office in Woonsocket, this professional partnership goes back fourteen years, exceeded only by a friendship that dates back to their days as optometry students at Florida's NOVA Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Freitas and Dr. Kiley bring a unique devotion and professional expertise to the families of the Warwick community and invite you to begin your eye care journey at their new office on Warwick Avenue.

It is one o'clock on a mid-summer afternoon and though weeks from the start of school, a young mother has hustled her four children into the office of Atlantic Family Eye Care for a back-to-school eye check up. She knows that it is never too early or too late - to get young eyes examined for a new year in the classroom. Vision problems such as astigmatism, color blindness, "lazy eyes" and many other disorders that can interfere with school performance can be detected and addressed under the care of a skilled professional here at this practice.
Dr. Freitas and Dr. Kiley, both parents themselves, know that healthy eyes and good vision are important to individuals of all ages, whether a young child, mature adult or senior citizen. As optometrists, your eye health is their primary goal.
Many services are provided at this newly opened practice. When this veteran team of physicians came in, they upgraded much of the equipment now in use here. Using this state-of-the-art optometry equipment, they perform routine eye exams, evaluating for vision deficiencies which might indicate the need for corrective eyeglasses or contact lenses. These exams are also critical to the detection and subsequent treatment of such eye diseases as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and even "dry eyes".
Minor surgical procedures such as the removal of irritating and potentially damaging particles are expertly performed here. For patients who are undergoing cataract surgery, Dr. Freitas and Kiley also execute all the necessary pre- and post-op work, assisting patients in partnership with their surgeons.
Whether it is a general eye exam, the treatment of a disease, the diagnosis and correction of a vision deficiency or minor eye surgery, this experienced team of optometrists is here for you.
Come meet Dr. Freitas and Dr. Kiley at the office of Atlantic Family Eye Care, now located in their freshly painted building on 1624 Warwick Ave. Call for an eye appointment at 739-1336 or visit them at www.atlanticfamilyeyecare.com. They are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Medicare and all major health insurance plans are accepted.
